Drawing from ink work in the sketchbook with digital colour, the rest of the image is created using photo montage techniques with books from my personal library

Back to Mine

Created this chilled out Bananajim from a ink drawing in my sketchbook, the final piece was for an album cover of my own version of the Back to Mine series. My first attempt at mixing music and it didn't come out too bad! really liked the final outcome of the cover, the layering worked well along with attempting to bring more texture to my colour work.

Bubblegum Spaceman Jim

ispired by the Artwork of Lincoln Agnew's work in one of my favorite kids books "Harry and Horsie" i created this image using one of my previous Banana Jims Spaceman Jim images

im really pleased with the halftone lines and dots i managed to create to give it that "50's Bubblegum" look!

had to re-organise alot of this as i was not happy with the original, still not sure about colour, might change or add a little more to it, im am undecided!

Okay this time i used my regular method of brush and ink for the line-work, then scanned it and used the Wacom for colour... i think this method works much better!

used the digital to ink and colour, took longer than inking with drawing inks but a good finish with colours....

Pencil draft version, then traced on to Acetate to practice a new way to stencil, the acetate works alot better and the stencil will last much longer too!
