Drawing from ink work in the sketchbook with digital colour, the rest of the image is created using photo montage techniques with books from my personal library

Oni/Hannya/Tengu Mask with Peony and Maple

After the previous Tengu and Hannya piece that i created i wanted to complete an image that contained the wind bars and clouds that appear on irezumi, this image is the first in a line of irezumi pieces that i hope to design. Created using a brush and ink drawing from the sketchbook and finished in digital colours.

Karasu Tengu

Karasu Tengu created using a brush and ink drawing from the sketchbook and finished with digital colours, i really wanted to go with some detail on the wings colour wise basing it on a brown eagles colour scheme, also tried to stick to traditional colours with advice from a friend!

Oni/Hannya and Tengu Mask with Maple Backing

From a ink drawing in my sketchbook to this finished piece, i took a huge step with my colour work on this one, and it payed off! really glad with how the shading came out on the skin of both masks, more to come soon i think!

Kondo Castle Siege

The final print in this series so far, "Kondo Castle Siege", I wanted a much darker feel to this one so i went for the blues and purples and the murky background, i wanted the rooster to look really rich also so i went to town on the detailing of his feathers!

Forrest Oni Attack

Second print from the 44 Demons series entitled "Forrest Oni Attack". Loved creating the perspective on this one, especially since it gave me a chance to do some detailed Irezumi on the arm! i felt the colour scheme really came through on this one too, i tried to move away from the standard green and brown forest.

Koshi and the King Carp of Pon-Yo

My first print for 44Demons, entitled "Koshi and the King Carp of Pon-yo" created with black ink on paper and then scanned and digitally coloured i am extremely happy with the finish on this one and i look forward to doing many more!

Kuniyoshi Print Restoration

This is one of my favorite prints by Kuniyoshi entitled "36 Fashionable Restaurants of the Eastern Capital: The Carpenter Rokusaburo" 1852
the original above is the only large quality version of the image i could find, and as you can see the colours are very faded. Using smaller versions of the image i tweaked the colours and levels for different sections in Photoshop to re-colour the large image, i was really pleased with the final look and will attempt to print it soon!

Angeldust & Star Glitter!

Designed a logo for my number one pimp http://angeldustandstarglitter.blogspot.co.uk/ and then created it in acrylic as a leaving gift, came out looking pretty bad-ass!

Back to Mine

Created this chilled out Bananajim from a ink drawing in my sketchbook, the final piece was for an album cover of my own version of the Back to Mine series. My first attempt at mixing music and it didn't come out too bad! really liked the final outcome of the cover, the layering worked well along with attempting to bring more texture to my colour work.

Koi Colour Work MkII

Re-work of the colour scheme on the original Koi drawing that i did, i have wanted to do a black Koi for a while now, im loving the look of the final outcome! the black really stands out with the yellow and the red splat gives that little hint of a Japanese flag

Tattoo Colouring Book

i purchased a tattoo book online which is essentially a colouring book... so thats what i did! i am using the pages as practice for my colour work and Photoshop skills, i tweaked a few bits on this one as you can see...

Some shots from a piece that i designed for my friend who shares my passion for Koi, the original drawing was inked and scanned, from illustrator i created the file for the laser cutter, i then attached it to the original part it was cut from but raised it up a little for extra 3D effect...

DT Dudes

These were a work project that i undertook, the original versions of these characters were very small black and white photocopies that i drew larger, inked and digital coloured. The Screwdriver and Battery were the originals which i modified and i created the Hammer and Bulb myself
